World Architecture Culture Tour – First People’s Hospital of Jilin University
The First People’s Hospital of Jilin University is a famous hospital with a long history. It is located in the dignified protection zone of Xinmin Street in Changchun City. It faces the Chaoyang Park with pleasant scenery in the south and faces the Cultural Square in the north. The height difference between the north and the south reaches 9m.
The planning of the First People’s Hospital of Jilin University firstly used the height difference of the base to process into three terraces, and arranged the inpatient ward building along the south side of the base. Utilizing the difference between the north and the south, the outpatient clinic and the medical technology complex are designed, and the vertical shared atrium is designed at the height difference. At the same time, the entrance halls on both sides of the north and the south are connected, and a common public space is established between the cultural square and the Chaoyang Park.
